It's been a few weeks and I have made some good progress on the next update for Cubic Void. I have thought it through and decided that I will continue gamedev exclusively for Cubic Void until I am happy with the state of the game. This means I probably wont update any of my other games anymore unless I have some random burst of motivation to work on them. Moving forward, lets see what I have done with v0.5

New Dialogue System

Now, instead of text being placed in the world, it will appear above the players head for a short amount of time after passing through an invisible trigger. This trigger which activates the text will delete itself upon entry so every time you respawn you wont have to deal with it appearing over and over again.

This new system will be implemented into every level including the tutorial level too improve the look of the game.

New Speed Triggers

The speed trigger is a new addition to the game which will find it's way into level 3 and the many more to come. Upon touch, the speed trigger will alter the players speed setting (not to be confused with the timescale setting), subsequently altering the players jump distance. The red speed trigger increases player speed, the blue one decreases player speed and the green one sets the players speed back to normal.

So far, this is all I will show because I want some features to be a surprise once the update releases. I still wont give a release date or month but I can confirm the the update will (most likely) release this year if all goes well. That's it for today and I will release more devlogs soonish.
